Exolit™ OP 1266 (TP) by Clariant is a halogen-free flame retardant specifically designed to address critical challenges in e-mobility applications using polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). It provides a stable comparative tracking index (CTI) of 600 V even after extended storage periods. <br>

It achieves its flame-retardant effect through a combined gas phase and condensed phase mode of action. The thermoplastic polymer with it forms on exposure to flame a stable char at the surface acting as a barrier. It provides a heat-insulating effect, reduces oxygen access, and prevents dripping of molten polymer. <br>

It is especially used in thermoplastic polyester resins including both glass fiber reinforced and unfilled PBT and PET grades. </li>

It is a non-halogenated, non-hazardous low smoke flame retardant solution with a preferable environmental and health profile. It is characterized by an exceptionally low viscosity in aqueous suspension. Exolit® AP 435 is suitable for use in epoxy resin and other polymers. It complies with SQS, NQT and CLP regulation, EC 1272/2008. Exolit® OP 1311 by Clariant is an intumescent phosphinate. Acts as a halogen-free flame retardant (UL 94 V-0/VW-1). Suitable for glass fiber reinforced and unreinforced PA 6 and elastomers such as TPU and TPE-E. Designed for cable applications. Provides a heat-insulating effect, reduces oxygen access and prevents dripping of the molten polymer. Exhibits low smoke toxicity, good physical and electrical properties. Recommended dosage level of Exolit® OP 1311 is 15-20% by wt. It has a shelf life of 12 months. Exolit® OP 1260 (TP) by Clariant is a non-halogenated flame retardant based on organic phosphinates. It is developed for glass fibre reinforced PBT and polyester injection molding applications. It achieves its flame retardant effect through a combined gas phase and condensed phase mode of action. Exhibits recyclability as well as very good physical and excellent electrical properties. Designed for connectors, switches, enclosures, housings, engine covers, small structural parts, cables, electrical parts. It is also used in seat frames for transportation, automotive, train, aircraft and ships. Exolit® OP 1260 (TP) is recommended at a dosage rate of 18-20 %wt to obtain the UL 94 V-0 classification for electrical components. Exolit® OP 1314 by Clariant is a halogen-free, intumescent, organic phosphinate. Acts as a flame retardant. Exhibits higher thermal stability, good colorability and good processability. Designed for glass fiber reinforced and unreinforced PA6 and PA66. Possesses very good physical and electrical properties. Offers a heat-insulating effect, reduces oxygen access and prevents dripping of the molten polymer. Exolit® OP 1314 provides good contrast in laser marking and low material density. It has a shelf life of 12 months. Exolit® AP 422 A by Clariant is a fine-particle, non-halogenated ammonium polyphosphate flame retardant with less than 0.1% melamine. It is a favorable environmental and health profile colorless, non-hygroscopic, biodegradable, non-flammable grade free of SVHCs. It is effective in cellulose-containing materials such as paper and wood products, and polyolefin-based wood plastic composites (WPC) with high wood contents (>50%).<br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It has extremely low vapor pressure, water solubility, acid number and viscosity in aqueous suspensions.</li>
<li>It is suitable for various PUR applications including flexible polyester-based PUR foams, with minimum impact on reaction profiles and material properties.</li>
<li>It is an essential component in intumescent formulations for thermoplastics, particularly polypropylene, for which the classification UL 94-V0 is specified for applications in the electrical sector.</li>
<li>In the case of thermosets like epoxy resins and unsaturated polyester resins, it paves the way for the production of lightweight components with low solids content.</li>
<li>Exolit® AP 422 A can be used in transport applications to obtain good fire, smoke, and toxicity results, E&E, and consumer applications.</li>
<li>It has a shelf life of 12 months.</li></ul> Exolit® IFR 36 by Clariant is a halogen-free ammonium polyphosphate designed for thermosets, especially epoxy resins. Acts as a flame retardant. Shows phosphorus/nitrogen synergism and good intumescence. Exolit® IFR 36 can be used alone or in combination with aluminium trihydrate (ATH). It has a shelf life of 12 months. Exolit® OP 550 by Clariant is a medium viscosity, halogen-free phosphorus polyol. Acts as a flame retardant and anti-scorching agent. It has high phosphorus content. It can be chemically reacted into the polymeric matrix, preventing unwanted migration from the foam. Suitable for use in PU foams. Exolit® OP 550 offers high aging resistance and high migration stability. It has a shelf life of 12 months. Exolit® OP 1380 by Clariant is a non-halogenated flame retardant based on organic phosphinates for reinforced polyamide 66 and polyamide 6 for both glass-fiber-reinforced and unreinforced grades. It gives an improved performance in the glow wire ignition temperature (GWIT according to IEC 60695). <br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It exhibits very good physical and excellent electrical properties, low material density, good colorability and good contrast in laser marking. </li>
<li>Exolit® OP 1380 shows a high potential for mechanical recycling while maintaining the flame retardancy and other properties. </li></ul>
