CAB-O-SIL® TS-720 Fumed Silica

CAB-O-SIL® TS-720 by Cabot is a medium surface area fumed silica. It has been surface treated with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). This surface treatment results in hydrophobic silica with a very different performance than untreated silica. It is characterized by high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density and hydrophilic surface chemistry. CAB-O-SIL® TS-720 provides thickening efficiency, sag resistance or high film build, shear-thinning rheological behavior and stable rheological performance over time.

CAB-O-SIL® TS-530

CAB-O-SIL® TS-530 by Cabot is a high surface area fumed silica which has been surface-modified with hexamethyldisilazane. The treatment replaces some of the hydroxyls on the surface of the silica resulting in increased hydrophobicity and very different performance than untreated silica. It offers high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density and hydrophilic surface chemistry. It provides rheology control, sag resistance, high film build, dispersion improvement, anti-settling of pigments and fillers. CAB-O-SIL® TS-530 is used in HTV and liquid silicone rubber applications.

CAB-O-SIL® M-5

CAB-O-SIL® M-5 by Cabot is a medium surface fumed silica suitable for reinforcement of silicone and organic rubbers. It offers high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density and hydrophilic surface chemistry. It reduces the angle of repose and improves powder flow, when blended into sticky and poorly flowing powder systems. It can reduce caking and blocking during the storage of powder systems. CAB-O-SIL® M-5 imparts increases in hardness, tensile strength and elongation.
