VULCAN® XC72 by Cabot is a uniquely designed conductive carbon black. It offers properties, which enable end products to deliver functionality at relatively lower loading levels compared to Cabot’s other carbon blacks in the XC family. It is suitable for compounding into plastics, which can change the electrical property of the final product from insulative to conductive, anti-static or dissipative. It offers a full range of conductivity performance depending on loading, low sulfur and grit levels. It provides good dispersion to promote surface smoothness and mechanical performance of the polymer. VULCAN® XC72 is applicable in conductor-, insulation shields used in medium voltage power cables and conductive plastic molded or extruded parts where protection from electrostatic discharge (ESD) is required. It is recommended for a wide range of conductive applications. VULCAN® 6-LP carbon black by Cabot is a reinforcing carbon black. It offers higher reinforcement, strength, abrasion and tearing resistance level. It is recommended for rubber compounds that require very low PAH content and are currently based on ASTM N300 and N200 carbon blacks. VULCAN® 6-LP carbon black is used in toys and childcare articles, sports equipment, household utensils, trolleys, walking frames, clothing, footwear, gloves and sportswear, watch straps, wrist bands, masks and headbands. VULCAN® M by Cabot is a reinforcing carbon black conforming to ASTM N375 target values. It offers STSA surface area and compressed structure that is lower than ASTM N339 and N347 and higher than ASTM N330 carbon black. It provides good elongation, cut/chip, tear, lower compound viscosity and modulus properties. It is suitable for tire inner part applications, including side wall and bead/apex. VULCAN® M is recommended for conveyor belts, solid tires, and other industrial rubber products requiring good abrasion resistance without high hysteresis VULCAN® 7H-C Circular Reinforcing Carbon by Cabot is a reinforcing carbon made from ISCC PLUS certified tire pyrolysis oil derived from end-of-life tires. It delivers optimal dispersibility and moderately high modulus while imparting excellent extrusion
characteristics to rubber compounds. It conforms to ASTM N234 carbon black
target values and is higher in surface area and structure than ASTM N220 and ASTM N339 type carbon blacks.

VULCAN® 7H-C Circular Reinforcing Carbon is suitable for synthetic and natural rubber-based tire treads and industrial rubber products that require excellent wear resistance.

It is used in conveyor belts, solid tires, and other applications that require exceptional abrasion resistance.

VULCAN® 3-LP carbon black by Cabot is a reinforcing carbon black characterized by a controlled, very low polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) content. It is designed for use in certain rubber articles currently based on ASTM N300 series. It offers higher reinforcement, strength, abrasion and tearing resistance level as compared to semi-reinforcing carbon blacks. Recommended for toys & childcare articles, sport equipment (bicycles, golf clubs and racquets), household utensils, trolleys & walking frames, tools for domestic use, clothing, footwear, gloves & sportswear, watch straps, wrist bands, masks and head bands. VULCAN® 3-LP carbon black is also used in potable water contact applications including hoses & membranes, liners in drinking water system (pipes, tanks) and food contact applications including gaskets, o-rings & seals, food transportation belts, liquid food transmission hoses, milk inflation liners, wrapping and packaging material. VULCAN® XC200 by Cabot is a conductive carbon black is part of our XC-family of conductive carbon blacks. It offers excellent conductivity, cleanliness and consistency. It exhibits outstanding cleanliness including low levels of ionic impurities, ash and sulfur. It can help enable long-term cable performance by minimizing potential sources of failure. It shows good conductivity, protecting against premature cable failure. It possesses excellent chemical and physical cleanliness for a smooth surface finish. It shows processability and ease of dispersion. In this pigment, medium voltage (MV) compounds impart low strip force relative to other conductive carbon blacks. It is designed to enable low strip force in strippable semi-con shields. VULCAN® XC200 is also used in insulation shields in medium voltage power cables where strippability is required or mandated. It has excellent cleanliness and conductivity performance allows for its use in conductor shields as well. VULCAN® N299 by Cabot is a high structure carbon black. It offers high dynamic stiffness and high extension modulus. It exhibits high abrasion resistance and hysteresis. It is used in treads for high-performance passenger car tires and for truck tires and conveyor belts. VULCAN® N299 is compatible with natural rubber and compounding processing. VULCAN® XC500 by Cabot is a conductive carbon black. It is Cabot’s flagship product from the XC-family of conductive carbon blacks.
