PROPEL® E7

PROPEL® E7 by Cabot is a carbon black filler (>99 wt%). It acts as a reinforcing agent. It reduces tire rolling resistance without any need for reactive coupling and without sacrificing tire durability. It improves vehicle fuel efficiency and economy by reducing hysteresis (energy loss) of typical tire tread compounds by 15 percent when compared to same laboratory tests of Cabot VULCAN® 7H carbon black. PROPEL® E7 is used primarily in tire tread applications on-highway, long-haul truck tire treads and retreads.

PROPEL® E3

PROPEL® E3 by Cabot is a very high structure reinforcing carbon black with a medium surface area. It is easy to disperse because of fast incorporation and excellent dispersion. It is suitable for tire treads where hysteresis needs to be reduced while tread wear needs to be kept at a good level. It demonstrates a level of reinforcement similar to compounds made with ASTM N375, N339 and N347 type carbon blacks and shows a considerable reduction in hysteresis. It offers low hysteresis and high stiffness, which permits a lower silica blend ratio and has a positive impact on compound mixing, processing and tread wear. PROPEL® E3 finds application in treads of medium and heavy commercial vehicles, light commercial, SUVs and passenger cars that contains silica as well as in sidewall and under-tread.

PROPEL® D11

PROPEL® D11 by Cabot is a carbon black. It acts as a reinforcing agent, which imparts an increased surface area. It delivers enhanced and improved tire tread durability. It offers a high level of rubber reinforcement. It enables tire treads that resist cutting, tearing and abrasion. It provides the extended useful life of a tire. It is suitable for use in short-haul trucks, buses, construction vehicles and off-the-road vehicle tires. PROPEL® E8

PROPEL® E8 by Cabot is a high surface area, medium structure carbon black for high performance tire tread applications. It is designed to enable tires with lower rolling resistance without sacrificing its tread durability.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It provides heat generation similar to ASTM N200 series carbon blacks, and modulus with abrasion resistance equal to ASTM N100 series.</li> <li>It is suitable for tire treads that also contain silica.
