CAB-O-SIL® TS-720 by Cabot is a medium surface area fumed silica. It has been surface treated with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). This surface treatment results in hydrophobic silica with a very different performance than untreated silica. It is characterized by high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density and hydrophilic surface chemistry. CAB-O-SIL® TS-720 provides thickening efficiency, sag resistance or high film build, shear-thinning rheological behavior and stable rheological performance over time. CAB-O-SIL® TS-530 by Cabot is a high surface area fumed silica which has been surface-modified with hexamethyldisilazane. The treatment replaces some of the hydroxyls on the surface of the silica resulting in increased hydrophobicity and very different performance than untreated silica. It offers high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density and hydrophilic surface chemistry. It provides rheology control, sag resistance, high film build, dispersion improvement, anti-settling of pigments and fillers. CAB-O-SIL® TS-530 is used in HTV and liquid silicone rubber applications. CAB-O-SIL® M-5 by Cabot is a medium surface fumed silica suitable for reinforcement of silicone and organic rubbers. It offers high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density and hydrophilic surface chemistry. It reduces the angle of repose and improves powder flow, when blended into sticky and poorly flowing powder systems. It can reduce caking and blocking during the storage of powder systems. CAB-O-SIL® M-5 imparts increases in hardness, tensile strength and elongation. CAB-O-SIL® HS-5 by Cabot is a high surface silica filler. It possesses high purity and low bulk density. It imparts good increase in hardness, tensile and elongation. CAB-O-SIL® HS-5 is used in the reinforcement of sealants and rubbers. CAB-O-SIL® H-300 by Cabot is a high surface area silica. It requires high shear dispersion equipment and has high purity as well as hydrophilic surface chemistry. It offers low bulk density, aggregate structure and submicron particle size. It imparts good increase in hardness, tensile and elongation. CAB-O-SIL® H-300 is most efficient in non-polar to medium polarity systems. It used for reinforcement of rubbers specially silicone rubber and organic rubbers. CAB-O-SIL® DURAMOLD™ 2150 by Cabot is a medium-high surface area fumed silica. It exhibits an increased reinforcement in high temperature vulcanizing (HTV) elastomers. It is tailored for maximum performance in high strength, hardness and transparency elastomers. It is characterized by a highly aggregated structure with minimal impurities. CAB-O-SIL® DURAMOLD 2150 is used in cable bushings, seals, gaskets, O-rings, boots and vibration dampers as well as in reinforced insulating hoses, grommets, sockets, cable seals and terminals catheters. It is also applicable in valves and bellows, respiratory masks, kitchen tools, diving masks, footwear and swimming caps. CAB-O-SIL® CLARUS 3160 by Cabot is fumed silica. It has high-surface-area, small aggregate size and primary particle size. It exhibits a high degree of cleanliness and consistency. It possesses low contaminants and grit levels which lead to improved optical properties. It offers the highest cured Y transmission and lowest yellowing. It enhances performance by providing high levels of reinforcement, transparency and minimal discoloration due to aging. CAB-O-SIL® CLARUS 3160 is suitable for formulations that require elevated mechanical properties coupled with a high level of transparency. It is used in high-end transparent liquid silicone rubber (LSR) applications. CAB-O-SIL® M-7D by Cabot is a medium-high surface area fumed silica that reinforces silicone rubber. Possesses high purity and low bulk density. It has aggregated structure and submicron particle size. It is suitable for use in the reinforcement of silicone rubbers, including heat-cured rubber, high temperature vulcanizing or high consistency rubber (HTV or HCR) and liquid silicone rubber (LSR), in which it can increase hardness, tensile strength and elongation. Due to the hydrophilic surface of CAB-O-SIL® M-7D further modification of its surface is necessary to prevent crepe hardening. CAB-O-SIL® EH-5 by Cabot is untreated fumed silica which is a synthetic,
amorphous, colloidal silicon dioxide. Used as a reinforcer for silicone rubber and organic rubbers. Imparts good increase in hardness, tensile and elongation. Possesses high purity and low bulk density. CAB-O-SIL® EH-5 offers greatest transparency. Medium-high surface area fumed silica. Used to increase viscosity and reinforcement in sealants and rubbers. Possesses high purity and low bulk density. Imparts significant increase in hardness, tensile and elongation.
