SCONA® TPKD 8304 PCC

SCONA® TPKD 8304 PCC by BYK is an impact modifier for PBT and PLA. It is also used as an adhesion promoter for hard/soft composites with polyamide as the hard component. In this grade, dilution with non-grafted SEBS is possible. Recommended dosage level is 5-10% additive (as supplied) when used as an impact strength modifier in PBT and PLA. SCONA® TPKD 8304 PCC has a shelf life of 36 months.

SCONA® TPPE 1102 PALL

SCONA® TPPE 1102 PALL by BYK is a modifier based on polyethylene (LLDPE) functionalized with a maleic acid anhydride. It functions as compatibility agents in plastic recycling. It also acts as an excellent coupling agent for polyethylene/filler composites (e.g. ATH or aluminum hydroxide), polyethylene wood and glass fiber compounds. In addition, it improves the mechanical properties of highly filled compounds. Recommended dosage level is 2-4% additive (as supplied) based upon the total formulation, depending on the fiber/filler content and 30% additive (as supplied) based upon the polyethylene content in polyamide/polyethylene blends. It complies with REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011, Regulation (EU) No. 1935/2004, FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 ‘Olefin polymers’, FDA 21 CFR 174.5 and GB9685-2016, table A.1 ‘Plastics’. SCONA® TPPE 1102 PALL has a shelf life of 36 months.

SCONA® TSKD 9103

SCONA® TSKD 9103 by BYK is a modifier to produce high-impact-resistant polyamide compounds and adhesion promoters. It is styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene block copolymer (SEBS) functionalized with a maleic acid anhydride. In TPE-S overmolding compounds, it improves adhesion to hard substrates (such as PC, PA, ABS, metal). It boosts compatibility in blends of polyamide, ABS or polycarbonate with polypropylene. The recommended level is 3-10% based on the total formulation to modify the impact strength of polyamide compounds and improve compatibility in polyamide blends. SCONA® TSKD 9103 is listed in EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It is in line with Directive 2011/65/EU (EU RoHS 2), as amended by the Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 (EU RoHS 3), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste) and CONEG Toxics in Packaging. It complies with REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 & GB9685-2016, table A.1 Plastics. It has a shelf life of 36 months.

SCONA TPPL 5112 PA by BYK acts as a coupling agent in filler- and fiber-reinforced polylactic acid compounds to achieve excellent adhesion to the matrix. It is an outstanding compatibilizer for polymer blends made of polylactic acid and other polymers, including some bio-based polymers such as polybutylene succinate (PBS) or polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT). SCONA TPPL 1112 PA by BYK is a bio-based coupling agent for filler- and fiber-reinforced polylactic acid compounds to achieve excellent adhesion to the matrix. It is an outstanding compatibilizer for polymer blends made of polylactic acid and other polymers, including some bio-based polymers such as polybutylene succinate (PBS) or polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT).
