AQUACER® by BYK is a range of polymer-in-water emulsions based on MAH-grafted polypropylene or polyethylene. Designed primarily for glass fiber sizing, AQUACER® products improve fiber performance in composites used in automotive and household appliance applications.

AQUACER® 581

AQUACER® 581 by BYK is a non-ionic emulsion of carnauba wax containing water as a carrier. It is used as an anti-caking additive for the underwater granulation of thermoplastic synthetic materials. It forms a protective coating around the granules to create non-sticky and free-flowing granulates. It is required in much lower quantities so that the properties of the thermoplastics are not affected. It also prevents the formation of dust during processing. AQUACER® 581 complies with REACH, EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It is listed with Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU-Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging waste), CONEG Toxics in Packaging and EU Directive 2011/65/EC (RoHS 2). Recommended dosage level is 0.2-5% additive (as supplied) in the circulation water. It has a shelf life of 15 months.

AQUACER® 531

AQUACER® 531 by BYK is a non-ionic emulsion of modified polyethylene wax containing water as a carrier. It acts as an anti-caking additive for thermoplastics. It is used in the underwater pelletizing of granulated thermoplastic (TPE, TPU, EVA) and forms a protective layer covering it, thereby generating non-sticking and free-flowing granulated materials. It is required in significantly low quantities which avoid an impact on the properties of the thermoplastic material and generation of dust during processing is also eliminated. AQUACER® 531 complies with REACH, EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It is listed with Directive 2011/65/EU (EU RoHS 2), Directive (EU) 2015/863 (EU RoHS 3), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste) and CONEG Toxics in Packaging. AQUACER® 1510 by BYK is a non-ionic emulsion of a modified polypropylene wax. It improves the tensile strength and modulus of elasticity. It is recommended for use in aqueous glass fiber sizing to reinforce polypropylene thermoplastics. The recommended level is 10-50% additive based on the total formulation. AQUACER® 1510 is suitable for food contact applications.
