Clearstrength® XT100

Clearstrength® XT100 by Arkema is a high performance toughening agent designed for thermosetting resins. It is methylmethacrylate-butadiene-styrene (MBS) core-shell optomized for (meth)acrylics, epoxies, and polyesters.

It has low viscosity and excellent processability at low temperatures, enabling energy savings and broad compatibility with a wide range of monomers.

It is easily dispersible in most liquid resin systems at very low shear rates and exhibits a limited impact on their viscosity.

It yields superior toughness and shear adhesion strength in high Tg epoxy (Tg>200°C) than standard MBS powder.

Clearstrength® XT100 can be advantageously used to replace standard core/shell modifier powders but also liquid masterbatches of pre-dispersed core/shell particles.

Clearstrength® W-300

Clearstrength® W-300 by Arkema Additives is a core-shell acrylic specialty copolymer. It acts as an impact modifier.

It is designed to impart impact strength, weathering resistance and optical properties to vinyl formulations.

It exhibits high purity and is used for durable PVC products where clarity or color rendering is important.

It is recommended for wood plastic or furniture film top layer, corrugated sheets for roofing & twin walls, swimming pool covers, advertising signs, label holders, all transparent profiles and injection molded parts that need impact retention and long term UV resistance.

Clearstrength® W-300 recommended use level is 8 to 15%.

Clearstrength® C-223

Clearstrength® C-223 by Arkema is a methylmethacrylate-butadiene-styrene (MBS) core-shell impact modifier. It is designed to meet the most demanding impact performances in injection molding, extrusion and calendering opaque applications. It provides good impact to polycarbonate, polyesters, and various polycarbonate blends especially PC/ABS.

Due to its high rubber content, it offers high impact efficiency at room and low temperature, allowing dosage optimization and cost saving in formulation.

It is easily dispersed in vinyl formulations assuring more consistent impact resistance and other physical properties.

It can withstand severe processing conditions with minimal effect on heat stability and mechanical properties.

Recommended for use in high quality technical films, edge-bands, CPVC pipes, fittings, furniture films and indoor profiles.

It is also suitable for automotive applications, electrical and electronic components, household appliances and all PC & alloys parts where ease of processing, good low temperature impact and good balance of physical properties are important.

Clearstrength® C-223 is used in formulations for food contact or drinking water conduction.

Recommended dosage level is 2 to 20%.
