VELVETOL® H500 by WeylChem International is 100% bio-based polyether polyol made with 1,3-propanediol (Bio-PDO). It exhibits hydrolysis resistance, high oxidative stability, low melting point, low viscosity and slow crystallization rates. It is easy to handle, process & transport and has a significantly lower environmental footprint, saving 40% in non-renewable energy consumption and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 42% as proofed by an ISO 14000-compliant life cycle analysis. It offers low toxicity, low volatility, biodegradability and high thermal heat capacity. It shows more resistance against acid and heat compared to PTMEG. VELVETOL® H500 is suitable for thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers (TPU), polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) and polyurethane thermoset elastomers application.
