VELVETOL® H1800 by WeylChem International is 100% bio-based PO3G (polyether polyol) made with 1,3-propanediol (Bio-PDO). It is easy to handle, process & transport and has a significantly lower environmental footprint, saving 40% in non-renewable energy consumption and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 42% as proofed by an ISO 14000-compliant life cycle analysis. It possesses low toxicity, low volatility, biodegradability and high thermal heat capacity. It exhibits hydrolysis resistance, high oxidative stability, low melting point, low viscosity and slow crystallization rates. It shows more resistance against acid and heat compared to PTMEG. VELVETOL® H1800 is suitable for high-performance elastomers.
