GENIOPERL® P52

GENIOPERL® P52 by Wacker is soft-elastic, cross-linked silicone core with hard shell made of an organic polymer. Acts as an impact modifier. The core-shell particles are present as agglomerates with a particle size in the double-digit micron range and disintegrate completely when mixed into the liquid epoxy reaction resin. It is incorporated into polymer systems by dispersion in monomer or resin blends prior to curing, or by thermoplastic processing. It improves the impact strength of thermoplastic and thermoset polymer systems, especially at low temperatures. The recommended dosage of GENIOPERL® P52 is 10-25 wt.% for thermoplastics, and of 2-12 wt.% for thermosets.
