  • Firebrake® 500 by U.S. Borax (Rio Tinto) is dehydrated zinc borate-based flame retardant and smoke suppressant.
    • Contains no water of hydration. It can be used in systems requiring very high processing temperatures.
    • It can be fed to extruders, calanders and injection molding equipment.
    • It is suitable for polyetherketone, polysulfone, fluoropolymer, polyester and nylon.
    • Offers very significant beneficial effect on rate of heat release, a quality that is of special interest in aircraft applications.
    • Firebrake® 500 is stable at 600°C and can gradually absorb surface moisture store in sealed container.
