Supplied byTrinity Resources- Last Updated on May 23, 2025

Altiblock™ D400 by Trinity Resources is a pyrophyllite (hydrous aluminum silicate). Acts as an antiblocking agent. It is a natural blend of irregularly shaped and platy particles. Available in four distinct sizes including 2, 4, 6 and 9 microns with distinct morphology and particle size distribution curves. Provides clarity, strength, barrier resistance and improved thermal efficiency. Offers very low iron content (to reduce organic degradation), lower Mohs hardness (to prevent machine wear), specific gravity (to impact film yield), low moisture content (to reduce gassing & venting) and improved shelf life. Has a refractive index which is between talc and DE (diatomaceous earth). Compatible with polyolefin. It is specialized in improving block force and clarity when used in replacement of talc in film manufacture. Balances cost to performance equation. Altiblock™ D400 is used in plastic films encompassing a wide range of applications including plastic bags, food packaging, shrink wraps, horticultural films and video film tapes.
