Casachem™ PEG 4000 by Thomas Swan is a high molecular weight polyethylene glycol-based melt-flow improver, lubricant, internal plasticizer and softener. It enhances processability and dispersion, reduces viscosity and mixing energy.

- It has excellent water solubility, enabling easy dispersibility in aqueous systems, and features low volatility and low odor for use in sensitive processing environments.
- It is versatile across multiple polymer systems and provides optimal lubrication in rubber processing.
- It is white, waxy solid with low toxicity and high consistency.
- It is compatible with a wide range of fillers and curatives and is versatile for both industrial and regulated applications.
- In addition, energy-independent production is supported through an on-site anaerobic digestion facility.
- It enhances polymer flexibility, improves flow properties, and supports compatibility between polar and non-polar components, thereby contributing to better surface finish and mechanical properties.
- Casachem™ PEG 4000 is used in rubber compounding (NR, SBR, EPDM), as well as in polymers, thermoplastics, and TPEs.
- Recommended dosage level is 1.5-3.0 phr and 4 phr for EPDM extrusions (including black loaded compounds).
- It has a shelf life of 36 months.
