Terraloy® 90017A

Terraloy® 90017A by Teknor Apex is a masterbatch for bioplastic polylactic acid (PLA). Acts as an impact modifier. It increases the heat distortion temperature (HDT) and impact strength of the resin and substantially reduces its cooling time in injection molding. It is used with Ingeo^TM high performance (HP). It is based on NatureWorks’ Ingeo^TM HP PLA, nucleating agent from Takemoto Oil & Fat, and other ingredients. NatureWorks LLC has developed Ingeo HP resin to provide a higher HDT and greater impact strength than standard PLA. Combining the nucleating agent with other ingredients,Terraloy® 90017A not only improved dispersion but enhanced the overall property profile of the resin. It is suitable for semi-durable and durable applications.
