Regalite™ S5100 Hydrocarbon Resin by Synthomer is a tackifier based on SIS and SBS block copolymers. It is a partially hydrogenated water-white inert thermoplastic, a light-colored resin derived from petrochemical feedstock. It provides superior room temperature cohesion combined with very low adhesive viscosity. It exhibits low odor and resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation. The high polarity in combination with the inherent low adhesive viscosity results in excellent adhesion to low surface energy substrates such as polyethylene. It offers compatibility with EVA and EBA copolymers. Regalite™ S5100 Hydrocarbon Resin is suitable for non-food contact-, specialty tape and tires. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
