Regalite™ R7100 Hydrocarbon Resin by Synthomer is a tackifier based on SBS block copolymers, providing excellent color retention upon aging. It is a partially hydrogenated water-white inert thermoplastic resin derived from petrochemical feedstocks. It offers a unique balance of aliphatic-aromatic properties. It provides high cohesive strength, resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation and low melt viscosities. The polar characteristic is due to its unique structure, which results in excellent adhesion to low surface energy substrates such as polyethylene. It shows good compatibility with SBS-, SIS and EVA copolymers. Regalite™ R7100 Hydrocarbon Resin is used in non-food contact-, specialty tape and tires. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
