Alcotex® WD100

Supplied bySynthomer- Last Updated on Dec 20, 2023

Alcotex® WD100 by Synthomer is a secondary suspending agent for vinyl chloride suspension polymerization. It is an aqueous solution of 43% hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol. It may be used in conjunction with conventional primary suspending agents. It is dilutable in water, and with an extremely low methanol content. In optimized recipes, improvement can be obtained in the porosity/bulk density relationship. It offers increased PVC resin porosity that facilitates both monomer removal and plasticizer uptake and reduced levels of gels or fish eyes when compared to traditional products. It boosts PVC production output while reducing costs. It has a random distribution of acetate groups. The shelf of Alcotex® WD100 is 24 months.
