Alcotex® 432P by Synthomer is a secondary suspending agent for vinyl chloride suspension polymerization. It is 43% hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol supplied as a low viscosity methanol based solution. It may be used in conjunction with conventional primary suspending agents. In optimized recipes, improvement can be obtained in the porosity/bulk density relationship. It boosts PVC production output while reducing costs. It offers better porosity that facilitates both monomer removal and plasticizer uptake. The shelf of Alcotex® 432P is 24 months.
