IXOL® B 251

IXOL® B 251 by Solvay is a high performance, non-corrosive, reactive flame retardant for polyurethanes. It does not affect the thermal insulation characteristics of the foam or mechanical properties. This brominated aliphatic polyether triol possesses moderate viscosity and good compatibility with the main conventional polyols. It can be used in foams blown with flammable blowing agents such as pentane derivatives. It is compatible with all usual polyols and with non reactive flame retardants such as phosphoric acid esters. This product is used in injection molding in sandwich plates for the manufacture of cladding panels or elements for cooling chambers and cold stores. Also, used in continuous production of panels (laminates), manufacture of blocks which can be shaped or cut into plates and in-situ projection or cast molding for roof tightening and insulation, vertical or under-face insulation. The shelf life of IXOL® B 251 is 2 years.
