Sinanox® 1222 by Sinocure Chemical is a phosphorus-containing hindered phenol antioxidant with excellent extraction resistance. It acts as a polycondensation catalyst for polyester, serving as a safer alternative to the traditionally used, more toxic antimony trioxide. It can also be used for polyamide as a light stabilizer and has an antioxidant effect.
- It is particularly suitable for polyester anti-aging applications and is typically added before polycondensation.
- It has a synergistic effect when used with ultraviolet absorbers.
- Sinanox® 1222 can also be used as a stabilizer for dimethyl terephthalate in storage and transportation.
