SILMASTAB AT1857 CAT

SILMASTAB AT1857 CAT by Silma acts as a trans-esterification catalyst, property modifier and a high molecular weight thermal stabilizer. It provides excellent color retention and increased mechanical properties in foam and rigid applications through catalysis of chain extenders.

• It offers accelerated polycondensation with a 50% decrease in vacuum time for recycled PET and an increased mechanical modulus compared to normal polycondensation.
• It protects PET from thermo-oxidative degradation giving lower acetaldehyde formation, also in post thermal treatment and processes.
• It is suitable for PET polycondensation, polymerization, compounding, profile extrusion and injection molding applications.
• Recommended dosage level of SILMASTAB AT1857 CAT is 1-3%.
• It has a shelf life of 1 year.
