SILMAPROCESS AL1910 IPN

Supplied bySilma- Last Updated on Mar 1, 2021

SILMAPROCESS AL1910 IPN by Silma works as scratch- & abrasion resistant, slipping agent, external lubricant and release agent. It also works as a processing aid, viscosity reducer, homogeneity and trough output improver, flame retardant synergist (L.O.I.) and smoke suppressant. During the injection molding, it can reduce cycle time and improve surface quality & soft touch. It is a masterbatch of super-high molecular weight polysiloxane elastomer reacted in presence of a melted thermoplastic polymer creating an IPN (interpenetrated polymer network). It eliminates surface defects, scraps, die-droll and improves mechanical properties. It has long-time durability and thermal aging. It is used simply mixed with the compound pellets, during the compound/extrusion or injection molding. When used in the compounding process, it decreases the melt viscosity with benefits for the trough output, reduces torque and boosts the dispersion of the compound. The recommended dosage level is 1-10%, depends on the needs. SILMAPROCESS AL1910 IPN has a shelf life of one year.
