N-phenyl-N'-isopropyl-p-phenylenediamine. Acts as a polymerization inhibitor. Reduces polymer formation in monomer manufacture processes. Exhibits superior performance to dinitrophenol polymerization inhibitors, especially at elevated temperatures. Shows dramatic decrease in viscosity of tars. Possesses high solubility in ethylbenzene as well as styrene monomer and low toxicity. Attains maximum performance in the presence of air.
