UMEX 5500 by Sanyo Chemical Industries is a low melt-viscosity glass-fiber dispersant and a highly modified polypropylene which contains a hydrophobic PP segment and a hydrophilic carboxylic anhydride segment.
- It acts as a dispersing agent and can effectively migrate at the interface between glass fiber and PP resin due to its high acid value relatively and low melting point.
- It shows good compatibility with polyolefins such as PP & PE and high-polar resins such as nylon and offers improved rigidity and heat resistance.
- UMEX 5500 is suitable for engineering plastics and automobile parts.
