Rhenopren® EPS

Rhenopren® EPS by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a processing promoter for natural- and synthetic rubber. It offers uncured compounds a good dimensional stability and excellent processability (green strength). It also acts as a polymer plasticizer and stands for good extrudability of compounds. It is not extracted by oil, benzene and plasticizers, so the swelling resistance of vulcanizates remains practically unaffected. It can be used both for sulfur and peroxide cross-linking. It shows a velvety surface finish and degassing of compounds is facilitated. Rhenopren® EPS is suitable for roller coverings, EPDM sponge profiles, erasers and technical rubber components. Recommended dosage level for molded and extruded goods of all kinds based on NR and SR is 5-20 phr and for eraser compounds is 50-300 phr. It has a shelf life of 3 years.
