Aflux® SD

Aflux® SD by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a processing promoter specifically designed for silica-based compounds, ideal for use in SSBR, BR, NR, EPDM, and their various combinations. It is a mixture of surface-active compounds and fatty acids.

• It improves silica dispersion and reduces compound viscosity.
• It provides exceptional flow properties and excellent filler dispersion.
• It enhances the extrusion rate and is specifically formulated as a surface-active agent for white fillers, due to its blend of carefully selected polar materials.
• It improves the performance of tire compounds by reducing rolling resistance, increasing wear resistance, and improving wet grip.
• Aflux® SD preserves the properties of the resulting vulcanizates, such as hardness and modulus, without influencing the silanization reaction, making it compatible with any silane.
• It is used in compounds for tire and technical rubber goods applications containing white polar fillers.
• It is recommended to use 3-6 phr of Aflux® SD, depending on the amount of white filler, with 5-10 phr suggested for a rubber compound containing 80-150 phr silica.
• It has a shelf life of 1095 days.
