Staybelite® A by Pinova (DRT) is a gum rosin partially hydrogenated via a catalytic process. Acts as a plasticizer and a tackifier. It is a pale, acidic thermoplastic resin, and has similar characteristics as Staybelite hydrogenated wood rosin. Hydrogenation makes this resin highly resistant to oxidation and discoloration, and to changes in solubility characteristics, when it is exposed to air and heat. It shows wide solubility and compatibility range. Staybelite® A is used in thermoplastic mixtures for sealing compounds, sealing wax.
