Wood rosin partially hydrogenated via a catalytic process. Acts as a tackifier and a plasticizer. It is a pale, acidic thermoplastic resin. Hydrogenation makes this resin highly resistant to oxidation and discoloration, and to changes in solubility characteristics, when it is exposed to air and heat. It shows wide solubility and compatibility range.
