Unilin™ 700 alcohol

Unilin™ 700 alcohol by NuCera Solutions (Chase) is a fully saturated, long chain, linear primary alcohol. Exhibits high molecular weight, greater crystallinity, and higher purity with an 80% primary alcohol concentration. Offers carbon chains lengths longer than those of conventional fatty acids. As a result, it offers higher melt points and hardness with improved compatibility in polyolefin as well as hydrocarbon based systems. Compatibilizes with polar polymers and reacts to form derivatives. Unilin™ 700 alcohol improves the compatibility with hydrocarbons, controls the melting point and lowers the melt viscosity. It is insoluble (<1%) in all solvent systems at room temperatures, limited solubility in ketones, aldehydes, esters/elevated temperatures and greatest solubility in aliphatics as well as aromatics/elevated temperatures.
