BARECO™ C-4040 polymer

Hard synthetic wax comprised of linear, fully saturated ethylene homopolymers. Acts as a lubricant. Exhibits low melt viscosity, excellent heat stability and resistance to chemical attack. Offers viscosity modification for injection molding resins, mold release for plastics processing as well as surface slip and mar resistance. It is insoluble (<1%) in all solvent systems at room temperature, but offers limited solubility in some solvents (ketones, esters, alcohols) at elevated temperatures. In all cases, the elevated temperature would be below the boiling point of the solvent. Possesses greatest solubility in cyclic aliphatic, chlorinated and aromatic hydrocarbons at elevated temperatures.
