Cadox® D-50 VRN by Nouryon is a special purpose catalyst based on methyl ethyl ketone peroxide. It is used for curing promoted unsaturated polyester resins at room temperature. It contains a red indicator system that virtually disappears during cure. It has low hydrogen peroxide content which reduces gel-coat porosity and improves curing of vinyl ester resins. It has high monomer content which offers reduced cure times in some resin systems. Cadox® D-50 VRN is recommended for centrifugal casting, resin transfer molding, polymer concrete, spray fillers, hand lay-up and spray-up applications.
