Butanox® M-60 VRD by Nouryon is a general-purpose, methyl ethyl ketone peroxide for the curing of unsaturated polyester resins and n GRP curing systems in the presence of a cobalt accelerator at room and elevated temperatures. It is a medium reactive, MEKP with low water content, 10% higher active oxygen compared to Butanox® M-50, including a vanishing red indicator system. Butanox® M-60 VRD is suitable for resin transfer molding, filament winding, hand lay-up and spray up applications. The shelf life of this product is 6 months. It is listed in TSCA.
