Butanox® M-50 VR by Nouryon is a general-purpose, methyl ethyl ketone peroxide for the curing of unsaturated polyester resins in the presence of a cobalt accelerator at room and elevated temperatures. This medium-reactive, MEKP possesses low water and a vanishing red indicator system. Butanox® M-50 VR is suitable for gelcoats, resin transfer molding, filament winding, hand lay-up and spray up applications. Recommended for GRP products for e.g. marine applications. The shelf life of this product is 6 months. It is listed in TSCA.
