Silquest™ PA-1

Silquest™ PA-1 by Momentive Performance Materials is a PFAS-Free polymer processing aid. At low dosage levels, it can enhance material processability, reduce die pressure, die build up and die drool. It also increases material throughput without negatively impacting the final article.

• Improves processability of polyolefin resins (LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE, PP) and is easily & accurately metered in open or closed systems.
• Widely accepted for use in polyolefin film applications that involve food contact.
• Effective at low dosages and can eliminate the need for metal stearates.
• Offers no residue buildup or accumulation of processing aid on metal surfaces.
• Eliminates melt fracture during blown film processing while maintaining excellent film surface characteristics.
• Reduces scrap rate and is effective with many HMW-HDPE products that are difficult to use.
• Provides printability with no adverse effect on ink adhesion, heat sealing or film blocking.
• Silquest™ PA-1 is versatile, can be used as a liquid additive, as a solid formulated into a carrier resin (in masterbatches), or as an ingredient in multi-component additive package.
