POLYBATCH® DEG 555 by LyondellBasell is a masterbatch. It contains additive mix which is both photo- and thermo degradable. The speed of degradation depends on the addition rate as well as on the presence of antioxidant in the film base resin. POLYBATCH® DEG 555 is compatible with EVA, LDPE, LLDPE, MDPE or HDPE, PP block copolymer, PP homopolymer and PP random copolymer. It is used in blown film, cast film and sheet extrusion applications. It is used for the production of oxo-degradable films. Its recommended dosage rate is 6%.
