BioAdimide™ 100 Powder

Carbodiimide. Is an effective additive to prevent polymer degradation due to an exposure to humidity and acids. Helps maintain the molar mass and thus, mechanical properties as well as melt strength of bio-based polyester in spite of detrimental processing steps. The chemical composition of BioAdimide 100 enables stabilization of bio-based polyesters with processing temperatures below 200°C (392°F). Due to its improved purity it is especially suitable for applications where a low number of volatile products is required. Is used to extend service life of bio-based polyesters. Suitable for bio-based polyesters such as polylactide acid (PLA), polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) and polyglycolic acid (PGA).
