Addovate® Thermostab

Addovate® Thermostab is an aromatic ester of phosphoric acid. Acts as a sterically hindered antioxidant acting against thermo-oxidative degradation which may occur during processing as a result of thermal, oxidative and mechanical stress. It is non-ionic and also acts as an anti-oxidative radical interceptor (primary antioxidant) due to its sterically hindered molecular structure. It scavenges hydroperoxides without forming colour bodies in a stoichiometrical reaction by forming alcohol, simultaneously oxidising the phosphite to the corresponding phosphate (secondary antioxidant). Compatible with of PC/ABS, PA/ABS, TPU, ABS and PA against thermo-oxidative degradation during processing in the melt. It has a shelf life of 6 months.
