TIMREX® C-THERM™ 011

TIMREX® C-THERM™ 011 by Imerys is a carbon-based filler. It is available in the form of soft granules. It has low friction, is chemically inert and shows the absence of inherent abrasiveness. It exhibits high thermal conductivity, thermal stability and electrical conductivity. It has film-forming ability on metal surfaces and has a relatively inoffensive nature of both powders and products of combustion and has a high aspect ratio. Extended graphite has a very low bulk density which makes it very difficult to feed into a polymer melt and TIMREX® C-THERM™ 011 overcomes these feed issues. It improves wear resistance, deformation strength and reduces thermal expansion in PTFE. It is suitable for polymer composites such as self-lubricating polymers and thermoplastics.
