TIMREX® C-THERM™ 001

TIMREX® C-THERM™ 001 by Imerys is a low friction, chemically inert carbon as filler. It exhibits high thermal conductivity, thermal stability and electrical conductivity. It improves wear resistance, deformation strength and reduces thermal expansion in PTFE. It has film-forming ability on metal surfaces and shows the absence of inherent abrasiveness. Extended graphite has a very low bulk density which makes it very difficult to feed into a polymer melt and TIMREX® C-THERM™ 001 overcomes these feed issues. It is used in polymer composites such as self-lubricating polymers, thermoplastics and thermally conductive polymers.
