Camel-Cal™ ST

Camel-Cal™ ST by Imerys is ultra-fine, treated grounded calcium carbonate marble. It improves mechanical, rheological, optical and dispersion properties. It is surface modified to facilitate dispersion. It is often used as an economic replacement to more costly precipitated calcium carbonate and silicates. It is used in plastics due to its increased thermal conductivity. The coating also makes these fine products less susceptible to moisture pick-up during use and storage. It is designed for use in PVC window profiles, sewer/potable water pipes, fencing/decking and vinyl siding. Camel-Cal™ ST is also used in thermoplastic elastomers, polyolefins, PVC (flexible & rigid), injection-molded siding/shingles as well as in PVC profile extrusions.
