Hymod® SB136 SG by Huber Engineered Materials is a water-insoluble alumina trihydrate (aluminum hydroxide) grade (99.6% content). Acts as a flame retardant. It is a coarse, mechanically ground, surface treated product that provides hydrophobicity, flame retardancy and smoke suppression. Also, it is odorless and insoluble in water. The surface modification enables it to have low moisture and to be easily & uniformly dispersed into polymers at high loading levels without causing processing rheology concerns. Hymod® SB136 SG by Huber Engineered Materials is suitable for acrylic, EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate), polyester and polyolefin compounds.
