Boron nitride. It consists of agglomerates of well crystalline primary particles. Acts as an electrical insulator and heat conductor. It is chemically inert, has low density, low coefficient of friction, and shows excellent machinability. It offers high thermal cycling resistance, resistance to most acids and melts, and a very high oxidation resistance. Recommended for use as active filler for rubber, resins, & plastics and as mold release agent for injection molding of plastics. It is also recommended for polymer plain bearings and other friction elements, where it significantly improves their durability and reliability. It is especially suited for use in thermosetting resins, in particular at high filling degrees and for good flowability during casting.
