Crystex™ HS OT 20 by Flexsys is a non-blooming vulcanizing agent for unsaturated elastomers. It offers thermal stability, non-staining and non-discoloring properties. It retards bin scorch, prevents migration of sulfur and preserves surface tack.
It is a metastable product that can revert to soluble sulfur if not stored under proper conditions.At vulcanization temperatures, it will de-polymerize to soluble sulfur and behaves similarly to "Rubber Maker's" sulfur.
It is used in compounds containing a relatively large sulfur loading above the solubility of sulfur in the elastomer.
Reversion of this grade to soluble sulfur is also catalyzed by alkaline products.
Crystex™ HS OT 20 complies with DSL, AICS, ENCS, ISHL, KECI, PICCS, IECSC, TCSI and TSCA.
It is used in tires and other plied-up rubber goods.
