ANCAMIDE® 1638 by Evonik is a very low viscosity curing agent and modifier. Designed for use with liquid epoxy resin cured at ambient or elevated temperature. Also used as an accelerator for other amine-based curing agents. Imparts high strength and modulus. It is characterized by high reactivity, fast set time, low loading and heat resistance. Provides good resistance to mineral acids, aqueous alkali solutions, water and aromatic hydrocarbons. Recommended for trowelable flooring, mortars, patch repair compounds and grouts. It has a shelf life of 12 months and is recommended at a dosage level of 15 phr. ANCAMIDE® 1638 can be cured in 2-7 days at ambient temperature.
