TDPA®

Oxo-biodegradant additive. It is designed to biodegrade the plastic at a controlled rate when the plastic is exposed to photo (sunlight), thermal (heat) and mechanical stress. Plastic eventually becomes carbon-dioxide, water and biomass on degradation. Oxo-biodegradable plastics can be used, reused and recycled and it is virtually indistinguishable in appearance and performance from traditional non-degradable plastics until degradation of the product is triggered in accordance with end-user requirements. The cost of plastic product is only a few percentages higher than the unmodified ones. TDPA® is compatible with polyethylene, polypropylene and polystyrene. Used in packaging (as grocery, shopping and garbage bags, cling film and BOPP films), agricultural and composting industries. TDPA® addition rate is 2-3%. TDPA® incorporated products are non-toxic and safe for food contact applications and also meet applicable US, Canadian and European standards.
