SP-1068 distributed by DKSH is a thermoplastic resin made from octylphenol and formaldehyde. It is used to increase tack in natural rubber and synthetic elastomers, including SBR, BR, IIR and IR.
- It can be used as a stock additive to provide tackiness and is particularly useful in applications requiring strong bonds, especially with synthetic rubbers that may lack inherent tack needed for plied-up construction.
