Polyglykol AM 1100 by Clariant is a polyethylene glycol allyl methyl ether. It is a waxy solid ethoxylated, end-capped with allyl and a methyl group. It is hydrophilic, biodegradable and soluble in water. It offers relatively high heat resistance and low toxicity. It shows low sodium content, greatly enhances hydrophilicity and improves biocompatibility of silicones & polymers. It is used in the hydrophilic modification of polymers.
