Supplied byClariant- Last Updated on Dec 16, 2020

Polyglykol AB/25-8 by Clariant is a polyethylene and polypropylene glycol allyl butyl ether. It is a colorless to slightly yellow, viscous, non-toxic liquid with a mild odor. It is a statistical copolymer of about 25 moles EO and 8 moles PO with allyl and butyl end-capping. It has low sodium content and enhances the biocompatibility of silicones & polymers. Its reaction with silyl compounds (hydrosilylation reactions) can be carried out very easily using Pt-based catalysts. Polyglykol AB/25-8 is used in the hydrophilic modification of polymers.
