Nipacide® CI 15 HS by Clariant is an in-can biocide based on CMIT/MIT. It is a water-based, low toxicity grade developed for the complete in-can protection of water-based products. It is effective against a wide range of microorganisms including gram positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast and fungi. It is formaldehyde-free with pH and temperature stability. It is suitable for PVA and acrylic polymer emulsions. Nipacide® CI 15 HS is BfR XIV and FDA approved for various applications. The recommended dosage is 0.1-0.3%.
